A Month of Sundays
1st Sunday: You are invited to dinner with Jesus of Nazareth.
Come as you are to the meal of life. You are invited to the table of the Living Lord. Feed on grace equal to every need. Singing praise and giving thanks prepares us to experience the blessing and mercy of God’s love in the sacraments. Taste the abundant life God gives you. This might be the most important dinner of your life. Enjoy worship in a casual atmosphere which knows the importance of the moment for you.
2nd Sunday: Kicking it Old School
OMG! You are invited to worship the way the Grands did it. This Sunday we will use the formal liturgical experience of our cherished Methodist ritual. The music in this service is drawn from traditional repertoires, including hymns and classical works: choir, hymns, Gloria Patri and all. Put on your fancy clothes and worship in the style of yesterday. Ladies will feel comfortable in a bonnet and gloves. Gentlemen might try a tie. Sing the old favorites. Speak the ancient Creeds. Experience the power of tradition, alive today.
3rd Sunday: Blessing Children
Get ready to have a good time! Parents and children of all ages are invited to be blessed. We will laugh and sing knowing that God shares with us the gift of life. We are sons and daughters of the source of life, fated for eternity with a noble call to our living. Jesus names us, “friend” and calls us to love with a power that cannot fail. Rejoice, laugh, and move to the rhythm of abundant life in Christ. A casual atmosphere where friends are welcome and strangers are folks about to become best friends. This worship is a fluid, informal service filled with exclusively contemporary praise music.
4th Sunday: To Change the World
“Be doers of the Word and not hearers only.” Celebrate the ways God invites us to make a difference in the world, near and far. By the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit we are called to live out the hope of Christ for the healing of the world. Join us and discover ways you can make a difference. Worship includes a broad range of music both contemporary praise and hymns from the past in a comfortable atmosphere.
5th Sunday: Praise and Healing
Once every three months a 5th Sunday pops up. We celebrate 5th Sundays with an anointing service. Rejoicing, we are thankful for all the blessings God pours out. Trusting, we seek healing in our lives. Come as you are and be part of this interactive “emergent-esq” celebration. In addition, prayer stations within the worship space impart personal, interactive elements, such as the Eucharist, intercession, and message response, to those who are led to experience them.
