100 Years - From Grace We Are United

Our Vision, Beliefs and Methods

The mission of the United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our local church provides the most significant arena through which we live out this mission by:
 Actively engaging in dynamic worship
 Regularly participating in small group ministry to nurture individual faith
 Generously supporting the body of Christ in our local church, United Methodist connectional ministries, and service in our community
 Enthusiastically showing the world Christ’s love through our service in our community and throughout the world
 Praying daily for the needs of the church, family, friends, and the world
 Daily searching Scriptures and seeking inspiration from the Holy Spirit

 We believe:

 The Bible is the Word of God; the handbook for our lives.
 Prayer has the power to change lives and guide our daily living.
 The local church is a place to grow in our relationship with God through worship, study, fellowship, witness, and service.

Life Groups

We use small groups to help teach, plan, practice, and follow-thru the practice of the 5 Paths of Discipleship. These small gathering in a comfortable home atmosphere reflect the early church practice of “house church.” Life Groups provide a non-threatening setting to share the progress of discipleship formation.

Each life group meets for about 60 minutes a week, usually in a home. We share our experiences of piety, a brief study, our experiences of acts of mercy, plans for intentional giving, and prayer for one another. Some groups may share in songs as well.

It has been our experience that small groups of affirming folks nurture each other in deepening relationships with the sacred and each other. It has been our experience that in small groups genuine, compassionate, and caring friendships form and mature into the beloved community. It is in these groups that we experience the blessed family of God.
